Issued to mark the historic coronation of His Majesty King Charles III, this limited edition Britannia is one of only 10,000 coins struck by The Royal Mint. The obverse carries the first crowned coinage portrait of His Majesty, designed by Martin Jennings, making this the only Britannia bullion release in history to feature this effigy.

The reverse continues with Philip Nathan’s classic 1987 Britannia design, accompanied by four state-of-the-art security features, including:

• Background surface animation creating a wave effect

• Tincture lines on the Union flag for added definition

• A latent image shifting between a trident and padlock

• Encircling micro-text reading “DECUS ET TUTAMEN” (“An ornament and a safeguard”)
